Ok, I've made my decision. I'm putting the 100 in the 46 and I'm gonna try it one more time. gjeffers, do you like your 46 better than the 60? What mount did you use for the engine, the one from the 60? I'm certain you had to move the blind nuts to make it fit, right? What size of tank did you go with? Now I have 11 oz and I can go about 13 minutes total which is what I like to fly but I like a little left over so I can crash closer to the field. On my 100 I had a 15 1/2 oz and I could go about 15 minutes total, 13 minute flight and plenty of time to land. What do YOU have under your painted canopy? I think I'm gonna go with the 15x6 prop. That's what I use on the Ultra Stick at 6lbs 8 ozs. It flies it fine with plenty of "bite". I can't believe I'm doing this. I've spent the last year posting here "do not over power your airplane" now I'm doing it. Just what I need an overpowered slow flying UCD. Anyways, I should have the changes done by the end of this week or next. My work is getting busy and I can't fly all day everyday any more.
acolvard, Believe me, you can rip the landing gear off this plane. In fact you are the only person I've heard of that hasn't done it, YET. No matter what you do, it will happen. Just glue it back in place and you'll be fine.
Oh, after my most recent 'EVENT" I suggest to the club that the runway was a little to high. They said they'd take it under advisement and get back with me later if they could lower it 10 feet or so. I'll wait and see.
Thanks,
Barry
