Ice, I'm using the stock Seawind sails as do most Seawind skippers. So I can't help you there. I think they are actually pretty good sails. A lot of the Seawind sailors have tried custom sails and they all say the improvement over stock sails is hard to measure, if any.

Wis - I wasn't trying to be critical of the Japanese at all with my comments about the instructions. I was just stating a fact. For example, at one place in the directions it states "mount the transmitter so that it WILL BIND on the rudder servo. And I saw a couple of others.

As my understanding of Japanese is zip, if I tried to write an instruction booklet for a Japanese consumer...... well, let's not go there.

My point was simply to warn builders to be alert for some serious grammatical errors.

I have nothing but praise for the kit. Compared to other model kits I've seen, this one is a champ.
