It will blacken the fiberglass where it burns it. Also it will eat into the aluminum muffler or exhaust system where it touches. Try to get some asbestos cloth or some thing between them . I used a 91 magnum and an os exhaust 90 degree adaptor . Then I went to Home Depot and bought a sink hookup tubing. About $2.50 for the sink tubing. I bent a long 90 degree bend in it and cut it off short, Now all I have sticking out is a small piece of tubing. Look at the pictures in the following link.
