I just finished my new electric genesis and i am a little confused as to where we went wrong with the electric version. If the model did not come with any firewall I believe it would be somewhat difficult to mount the motor wouldn't it. As for the pipe tunnel like Marcelo explained it serves a dual purpose. Another difference in the two versions is the placement of the elev. servos. With the new lite battery packs we feel it will be best to use some type of pushrod arrangement instead of mounting the servos in the tail.
I recomend the cetral new carbon rod setup or a MK system
As for the carbon gear you recieved, they were intended for a glow model and are to short to run the 22 inch props with. However the new longer electric gear are currently being sent to me so I can exchange them for the standard ones that came with your plane. Finally, yes it is true the models do come standard with an aluminum wing tube and thats the way I am going to leave it. They are not even close to 5 kilo as is, and I cannot see charging everyone for that little bit of weight savings when it is uncalled for and will not make the plane anybetter then it is at this. Of course they are readily available carbon tubes if
Now as for all of the alterations and expense to the fuselage, that couldn't be further from the truth. I assembled mine in a few hours over the past two nights and I think I had to add a total of $3.00 worth of materials to come up with a super lite and very sanitary installation. I took some pics and will try to get them uploaded in the AM.

Got the Genesis today. Not sure why they sold this as an electric version. Comes with firewall, pipe tunnel installed which is no use for an electric setup and will prob be torn out. Have serious doubts as to whether the gear will be long enough, heavy aluminum wing/tail tubes. Gonna take some serious alterations inside the fuse, and expense, for the hacker setup. Paint job and covering is excellent. Out runner running smaller prop would be an easier setup the way this plane comes setup. If you ask me it's not an electric version.
