Default RE: OS 160 FX 3D Prop!

ORIGINAL: JoeAirPort

The APC 18x6W is 4.5 ounces. The Zinger Pro 18x6 or 18x8 are only 2.2 ounces. The point is that I'd go with a wood prop for 3D. That will give you the fastest transition, key to 3D flying. The Mejzlik 18x6 and 18x8 work well too but are heavier and more expensive (carbon fiber).

Here are some great threads on prop choices for that engine. Prop it for 8500 to 9000 peak RPM.

Thanks for the links Jow, there is good reading there.

Do you not think that the lighter props suffer from a lack of thrust thats inherent to the larger APC's and CF's? I am seriously considering trying a Bolly and also the Mezjlik but have not read any conclusive evidence them being any better than the heavy PC I currently run.

does anyone know a good online retailer to purchase the Bolly from? My lHS has the Mezjlik already so ill buy that from them
