What is new at Superman?
Hi,
I wish I could say I'm surprised that no one's managed to get the hydraulics working on their Mig but unfortunately I'm not. A freind of mine has has his for over a year now ready to fly but for all of our attempts cant get the system to work reliably, and with the time and not to mention significant money invested there is no way we are going to fly until we know the gear is reliable.
However, I've been giving the system some thought and may have come up with an idea where we keep the hydraulics for the gear and convert everything else to air. The ECU will be binned and an alternative (quite simple too) system to control the hyraulics used. I'm just soursing some parts and then we'll test the idea. If it works (pretty confident) I let everyone know as you should be able to get sorted for a small cost and no major re-engineering, then get your planes finally airbourne.
It's a real shame that what should have been a real pleasurable experience has turned into nothing less than a complete fiasco. Late delivery of parts, poor instructions, systems that have obviously never been properly developed or tested and have to pay for the privalidge infull up front. Poor show and the last time we deal with FC!
Regards,
Tony
