raideron, One of the best investments I ever made in this hobby is new batteries. I use Hobbico HydriMax NiMH batteries. I replaced my transmitter battery with the 1450mH 9.6 volt. The cost from Tower is $35. I use the 4.8 volt 1650mA receiver battery. $18. I left my transmitter on, on purpose to see how long it would take to run down. I have a computer radion Futaba 9 CAP. It started at 11.3 volts. At 4 1/2 hours later it was at 9.0 volts. I use my standard overnight charger. The receiver batteries are good for at least 10- 13 minute flights. Basically I charge overnight the night before flying and then don't worry about it all day. Also there is no need to "cycle" these batteries. My transmitter battery is about 1 year old. I've charged it many times and still don't see a difference in longevity. These are a great bargin and take away one of the worries at the field. Get these batteries. You won't be sorry.
Thanks,
Barry
