My nephew Caleb, has been interested in model planes every since I got into them three years ago. Today he flew for the first time, and on his second flight he took off and landed by himself, and again on his second flight. Add to that, the wind...blowing 15 to 20...and I think he did excellent. He has spent a fair amount of time on my simulator, but today was his first time to actually get his hands on a tx, and fly. The plane is a GP Super Sportster. I am really proud for him. I flew the Super Sportster too, and it's a ***** cat. He got a good deal on the plane, RTF, and a Futaba T6XAS from a friend of a friend...paid 300$ for the lot, and the plane is in great shape. Anyway, I am really glad for him...we had a good day, and I just wanted to share it.
