When I came back to RC (a few years ago ), I D/L FMS and used it for almost 9 months before I got up enough money to get G2.

FMS is a great sim. I am not going to try and tell you it has all the bells and whistles of a comercial sim, but then the price is no where near a commercial sim either (free D/L and about $15 for an interface cable ).

The primary reason I went with G2 was to program in the wind. I was using FMS 6.9 (?) when I finally managed to get the money together for G2.

Is there a noticeable difference between G2 and the version of FMS I was using ?

Yes.

The graphics are better (the newer versions of FMS are supposed to have improved their graphics quite a bit), the ability to program in wind (I understand this has been added to the newest versions ) and better ground handling. The "customizable sites" in G2 was also a big plus for me.

Would I use FMS again ? If my G2 died, I would D/L it in a heartbeat and use it.
