Ah, the penny is dropping.

I have a T in my vent line. One side goes to a YS check valve, the other to a fuel dot. I can open the fuel dot so I can fill through the clunk.

I've started having problems with my idle. I've checked everything EXCEPT the YS check valve.

Thanks for the potential clue?

Any leads on a low pressure check valve?
