casipak, are you going brushless for tail for main?
If you have a computer radio with a programmable mix and am going brushless main or (brushless tail and don't need remote gyro gain) it's pretty easy and you do not need to open anything up as in the other thread. Simply setup the p.mix on ch 3 and 5 then hook the esc to ch 5. No soldering required.
