Next I cut away all the excess material from the vertical stab and did most of the sanding to round the leading edge. I cut a hole on the centerline in the fuselage where the leading edge stub is inserted and installed the fin aligned with the back of the fuselage. Using scrap wood and clothes pins, I pinned the rudder to the fin to help alignment and checked that everything was square. (90 degrees to the horiz. stab)
