The engine is supposed to set on the beams and be held in place by the clamps. No screws are actually supposed to actually go thru the holes in the engine mtg lugs. I am assuming you have the std clamp type mount that the Alpha uses. the engine should be able to move slightly under the clamps until the clamps are tightened down.
