I tried to revive my original cen mt-16 engine by upgrading to the .18 piston, sleeve and con rod.. I was under the impression that it was a direct fit, but I have no compression and when I finally got it started with a strarter box, It spit fuel everywhere.... Most of it coming out from under the head.... Do I need to get an .18 head with this... I thought it worked without it...
After a very frustrating 4 hours of bs , I put back the original and it started on first pull as usual and no leaks...
I think i'm just going to get the O.S. .18 cv... poor judgement.. which is the correct model? with rotary carb...I think I'll take your advice and finally get the engine...
