Default RE: What has to be the best trainer.....ever!!

First plane i ever flew was a 60 sized cub
First plane i ever owned was a PT40
First plane i ever soloed was a Freedom 20

The cub was just fun. Glide forever, the PT 40 i used WAY to much epoxy and was real heavy but it flew and flew, unfortunately i didn't seal the nose well and it got oil soaked.

I flew a Riser glider for a long time and learned to fly - self taught on it. I one day bought a Freedom .20 and learned to fly that. I thought it was one of the best trainers out there. After i got used to it i turned up the throw on the ailerons and it rolled fast. Got tired of that and put a bigger engine on it.

After messing around i got another kit and flattened the wing out and put a OS on it, can not remember the size however it was the same power as a .40 in a .25 size. Talk about a FUN plane.

After that i went to low wing and 1/5th scale. I always loved the freedom 20. best trainer out there
