Default RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Gjeffers and Raideron,

When I installed the cowl the nose of the engine was just touching the left side of the cowl. I've now added a little right thrust and the engine is now more or less in the middle of the cowl.

I tried trimming it out with rudder but in pattern the plane has to fly true otherwise I have to compensate all the time and that just makes it harder. Hopefully I'll fly it in the next day or two and give you a report.

I chose this plane to practice my pattern with because it flies really well slowly - that gives me much more time to think about what I have to do. I'm going in my first competition this weekend hopefully with the UCD so we'll see how that goes. I am nervous though. The other reason for the UCD is so I can do some 3D stuff later on - it looks like a lot of fun and requires a fair bit of skill so I'd like to try at some stage.

Adelaide - it's where Australia hosted the F1 Grand Prix up until about 10 years ago - now it's in Melbourne. Adelaide is in South Australia - right at the bottom. They say South Australia is the dryest state on the dryest continent on earth. We get quite a long summer - it's hot usually from about November through to April or May and we often get long runs of 40+ degrees C. Winter it never gets below about 12 - 15 during the day so it's not a bad climate.

Regards

Tony
