Totaled my skystar today due to radio failure (7 months in the making and only 3 bench and 3 flights). Plane is a goner while the engine still has hope. Visual damged to the engine is the crankcase (chip on both the lower push rod tube area), valve cover and both hose nipples bent. Total cost of the external damage is about $89. What I wanted to ask is where you guys have your engines sent to be checked (dunno if theres damage internally) and quoted for the cost of the damage. If its $200 up Id rather get a new one but if the cost is $150 below I'll have it repaired.
