I hear you.I get a kick out of some guy with a Foamie with a Brushless servo and 24"span of flat styrofoam (no airfoil) telling me how good his plane "flies".

Gotta love those brushless servos!?!? If you're going to talk down on something at least do it right.

I will never understand why so many ignorant people look down on profile foamies? Yeah, they don't look real, but they are fun, easy to fix, and not very expensive. It is also a good way of getting started in the hobby. Instead of looking down at these people, offer to let them fly one of your glow planes with a buddy cord. A guy at my field let me fly his SPAD, and after that I was sold on glow. I now have a GP Cap and a SPAD DPS. Howevever, I still fly my profile 3-d foamy every chance I get. I will tell you right now that I am a better flier because of the foamy then I am from the Cap or SPAD. But let me guess, you probably don't like SPAD's either?
