RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
SPUD37!!!!!! I GOT IT!!!!! I got my new profile foamie! This one is called a "Proudbird" It's got a 36" wingspan. I found it at a local hobby shop for 160 bucks. It came with a Himax 2812-085 brushless outrunner motor, a Castle Creations 10 amp brushless speed controller, two Hitec HS-55 feather servos and one picco micro servo of some sort, a futaba RX and it was all built up with a carbon fiber rod the length of the wing at the CG and tri stock the length of the fuse.
I bought this plane to get my grip on 3D flight before I did anything serious with my UCD. I flew it yesterday and this thing is freaking awseome! It will prolly do any kind of aerobatic thing you can throw at it......or at least what I can at the moment. I did a really good flat spin but I cant figure out just how to do an inverted flatspin. It hovers really well with the power (a little less than 1/2 throttle) but I have a hard time doing so because of all the wind. Overall I like it and I think this thing can really get my nerves callmed down when I really tear it up with the UCD.
So what do you guys think? I think everyone should get one of these. You can fly it without going to the feild. Which means not spending $$$ on outrageous gas prices, you don't have to use nitro or clean up any, and you still have just as much fun with it as you do your regular plane. I think this is a good investment to all 3D flyers to make and have as a sort of tool to their fleet of planes!
