g45 walbro carb problem?
Hi,
Ihave a 2nd hand(flown 1 season I'm told) Zenoah G45- with CH ign.Ran fine the first 5 or 6 times I started it, then the last time
it would not even pop.-Carb was very wet- Took plug out and was bone dry. Tried later using full throttle, and thumb choke, pulled
plug and was dripping, cleaned plug , opend low end and it started in 4 or 5 flips. Stopped and adjusted low end 3 times till it
was running perfectly, good transitions and started with 1 flip.
Took off and flew with different throttle settings and after about 5 minutes at roughly 1/2 throttle- motor died-After landing I checked the plug and again the plug was dry.
Disassembled carb and found a very small amt of lint like material in the screens, cleaned and blew out the carb- reassembled
(diaphram on top of gasket on 4 screw side and gasket on top of diaphram on 1 screw side-butterfly in the right direction.
Could feel air puff coming thru the hole in the mounting block when rotating prop.
Replaced carb- and nothing, carb was wet on both sides(removed plates after priming with choke and open throttle) but plug was
dry.
Can anyone explain would is happening and is it more than likely fixable with a carb repair kit.
Thanks
Keary
