I had a similar accident a few 3 weeks ago, though not as bad. I was trimming something and my wife came home. I didn't hear her come in until she yelled down the cellar stairs "I'm home!". Well, I wasn't ready for that and it made me jump.
Btw, I read a builders report for this plane online yesterday. This looks to be quite a project!
