It sounds like something is restricting fuel flow. You are using large fuel line through out your fuel system, right? This can make a major difference on large engines.

If you are using the recommended large fuel line, I would disassemble the carburetor and look for a piece of dirt or flashing that could be restricting fuel flow. Good luck.
