After all these months it is laughable that some people still take Cen's side. The truck was a fruit when it was launched and it still is even !QUOT!updated!QUOT!. I ran a T-maxx for a whole year all stock and broke nothing on it. Only problems I had was bending the hinge pins from time to time.
Cen has no excuse! They rushed a piece of poor design that lacks any engineering out on the market hoping they would hit the jackpot. Rocks get into the spur gears and break the teeth? Come on! 100 people had rocks get into their spur gears? Unlikely! Even if that were true that would prove how poor the design is.
Any piece of machinery has to be engineered for years and tested in order to assure a reliable and free of defect product.
The reason the Genesis is the fruit that it is is because a few 18 year olds got together and came up with ideas and designed the whole truck by the sound of music. More than likely had another couple of 18 year olds drawing the parts in AutoCad or Pro E and they came up with the great fruit sold at 560 green ones.
There did not even apply a conceptual force analysis to the chassis. Why? Because there were no real engineers involved.
Don't let yourselves charmed by some dude who answers the phone and will kiss some butt just so that you won't yell about how bad the product is. If you want quality go with a product like Traxxas. Proven to work great even stock.

I have a question for those who still buy the Genesis.... How many complaints does it take to stop you from buying a 560 dollar pumpkin with wheels?
