Wojtek & Tom,
I saw an F-16, which had been flown with a ducted fan, converted to pulse jet about 12 years ago.
They started it at the end of the runway,released it,(no throttle) and flew it till the 16 oz tank was empty.....59 seconds

LOUD is an understatement!
