Ok heres the background on me. Iv had about 20 hours stick time in front of a computer. I practiced with all kinds of wind speeds and directions. I purchased a hobbico nexstar from my lhs. My first real flight ever was a solo one. I know I know that was a bad idea. But I flew it half decent

. The first flight was a great feeling that is when my knees stopped shaking. Although the plan was very shaky itself.
I trimmed it out the best I could and got it flying nice a straight but still shaky. Well I flew 3 more flights with the speed brakes and the wing droops on. On my 5th flight I took off the speed brakes and wing droops [X(]. WOW this thing flys SO much smoother and stable without them on

. I'm not even going to mention the afs thing. I pulled the plug on that when I turned it on and for some reason I couldn't use my ailerons

. I still don't know why that happened but I think I would have created some bad habits if I would have gotten use to it anyway.
So here I am now with a still flying nexstar. Although it does have a few dings

. I'm very pleased with the plane after I took the training aids off it. Mostly cause its a lot faster

. Now I cant say I'm a 100% newbie in the airplane world. I do have my A&P but I'm to chicken to fly real planes lol ill just stick to fixing them and playing with RC versions.
My next big step to take is I wanna get a new radio and setup the flaps. At the same time also recover it and change it to a tail dragger. I almost enjoy the modding of the plane as much as flying it

. After I'm very very comfy with the nexstar and have done a few mods to it I'm really thinking on grabbing a Goldberg tiger 60 deluxe. Iv done some searching on how it flys and no one really has any complaints about it.
But I think its time to end this long 1st post of mine. I'm just so excited about this new hobby of mine I felt I would share with everyone. Maybe another new comer will read this and go get a plane!
P.S. Thanks to everyone here at RC universe. Even tho this is my first post this isn't the first time iv been here and a lot of threads iv read have kept me from trashing my plane the first flight.
