Default RE: CEN MT2 - Engine Tuning Help - NT16

Hey Cen Racer 1, I was checking out the OS .18 engine at tower hobbies. I could always use a spare engine anyhow. The OS .18 CV-R looks like a great engine. Its a direct fit as well, right? I noticed that OS makes 2 versions of this motor. Can you tell me the different from the CV-R and the CV-RX.. ? Anything beside the specs that I read, where the CV-R puts out 1.35hp @ 30,000rpm's and the the CV-RX puts out the same HP @ 28,000 rpm. The CV-R also has a max rpm's of 30,000, where the CV-RX rpm's max at 32,000. Heck, for the extra $10 dollars at Tower Hobbies, personally, I would go with the better RPM handling engine, so my choice would be the CV-RX. Which motor do you have? or is this the same motor, just a little beefier crankshaft or other internal parts on the CV-RX. Tower Hobbies sells the CV-R for $89 and the CV-RX for $99. Just curious to know if there is really any difference in these motors. Oh Yeah, It must be the pull starter :-)) Cause with the CV-RX you get a new pull starter, where the CV-R does not include it. Heck, I would end up using a Tiger Drive or Roto Start Adapter anyhow. I would end up selling the Pull Starter back on Ebay :-) to recover some $$. Hey Man, Thanks again for all the good feedback. You have been very helpful.....
