No the trainer jacks and plugs haven't changed. They are still mono plugs and jacks. I've checked with JR service at Horizon Hobby about this numerous times. They also haven't changed in size. Again I've checked with JR service on this. The cable that comes with AFPD (and probably AFP also) does have a stereo plug on it because Airtronics uses a stereo jack and plug. The stereo plug will work with the JR mono jack but sometimes it doesn't make proper contact, so OMP sells a short conversion cable that the stereo jack of the AFPD cable goes into and then has a mono plug on the other end to more closely match the JR plug.
