Scorpio if the Carb is meant to run under muffler pressure as glow ditto with diesel I get no gunk in the tank, yes the pressure line
and tank get a slight bit of discoloration but no problem. you have a handle on diesel so go for it . stock glow carbs fine you only\
run about 80% open due to the large carb bores YOU DO NOT NEED TO change carbs only exception I know of is MVVS whicj are
a little less touchy with the smaller carb All my irvines STs TTs Irvine 46 and 53 original carb and the irvines have big bores and

You can assemble a new irvine 40 if you pick up a Q40 glow $110 USD from sheldons in USA in Ca. and pick up a head from Davis for the irvine
40 diesel or check Just engines for a new or used Irvine 40 diesel head (I much prefer the Davis head)
