Default RE: Discharging Li-Polys

Not being terribly familiar with the Triton, I can only say, follow the instructions. You probably need to use one of the memory slots to program in the cell count (voltage), capacity, and discharge rate.

There are several reasons why your packs aren't taking as much charge as you think they should. First and most common is, you aren't discharging the packs as much as you think you are. Second is that you're pounding on the packs too hard when you fly, and they're damaged. Do they come out of the plane uncomfortably hot? Third most common is that the cells in the pack are out of balance, that is, they have different voltages. The only remedy there is to charge each cell separately with a pair of alligator clips (remember to set the charger for a 3.7V, or ONE, cell).

LiPolys charge to a fixed voltage, not a "peak" like NiCds, so the charger only puts in enough juice to get the battery up to where it's holding 4.2 Volts per cell on its own.
