Hey Terry,
When you come up to Brissy, have a look at Hobbyrama. Its a big shop with a good range of gear, a little pricy compared with Hstore but not bad. Shop is split up into RC & the other side is Biante cars & plastic models. Its 2 shops side by side.

RC guys have a good knowlege of their stuff, especially Gavin Broadbent, he's a national patern team member.
