I cut the speed brake out last night and it went fairly smoothly. I made it 330mm x 60mm or approximately the same width as the built in glass hinge width and length allowed by the unglued support rails. I did however have some complications with getting the hinge to pivot down to 90 degrees because the thickness of the fuselage in that area is twice as thick as the hinge point for the motor hatch. As I bent it down, the resin cracked on the inside and the white paint on the bottom side showed an uneven hinge line. I attempted to scribe a line for a better hinge point, but was afraid to go to deep. It hinges OK for now and will decide later after installation of the servo whether or not to completely cut it out and add off-set hinges.
