Default RE: NEW ROOKIE - PARROT SCHEME PHOTOS

imo ,and other rookie flyers tht i know agree, a lot of things about the rookie are variable, not just the nozzle.. the big tank will work- you just have to make it work- if u really want it.. and some stuff may not be asper mfgs instructions or be very pretty (like the back of my airbrake (pic # 5), but nobody ever sees it... as for the electronics tray, i cut it off a lot in back, to get in side tanks, etc.... the main tank size/total fuel quantity decision should be based on engine size.. i have found tht with my 98 ozs (74oz main +(24oz du bro- pic #4) i get a comfortable 8 min flt (with about 1/6 or 1 min left as reserve) with my artes 120 size engine (derated to 124000 rpm from 128000... if ur using an 80 size engine the 74 oz tank by it self would probably last 8 mins, surely.. but i'm planning to put the big 104 oz in mine with 2 - 32 oz smoke tanks on the sides (recycled alcohol bottles in pic #1-2-3), probably 55+ ozs for smoke, after squashing the tanks a little to get them in.. it will work, believe me.. mine is taking off with the help of the nozzle (but no canards) in about 70 ft (grass and asphalt) with a 98 oz fuel load.. and i have my engines power limited to about 85%.. .... is there room, before any canard work, to cut a hole and put the air tanks in the nose? (one by one is how i had to do it, with hoses connected and stuffed polyfoam padding in between as they went in..
