RE: hitec optic 6 setup with ucando 3d 46
I've never heard of anybody running the elevators in opposite directions on a plane that has ailerons. The main worry seems to be making sure the elevators are exactly the same with two different servos.
I have no knowledge of Hitec radios, but I am familiar with setting this plane up on the Futaba 6xas. I put the ailerons in channels 1 and 6 and enabled the flaperon function so that the ailerons would work properly. I believe this is the conventional setup for multiple aileron servos when you have a computer radio. For the elevator, I used a servo-reversing y-harness and plugged the single end of the y into channel 2, the conventional elevator channel. Throttle is 3, Rudder is 4. That's all there is to it. You might be able to plug the elevator servos into different channels with a more advanced radio, but you can't do it with the 6xas and I doubt you can do it with an optic 6.
Good luck.
