Default RE: Quiting this hobby?

Hey xoon

I too am doing the college and RC thing right now. I am also doing AFROTC, and flying real planes. I have my private check ride on ThursdayJ When I am in school I usually have a foamy and a couple of lipo packs set up for a little stress relief before the sun goes down. I find that it’s the only kind of RC flying I have time to do. I really wish I could get into flying pattern competitions but I just don’t have the time, space, or money. During the summer I try to get back to flying my Goldberg ultimate. Keep in mind that I pay for both my RC and my real flying, I sold my truck to pay for that and stepped down to a car that was a lot older. And I also wash airplanes during the summer to pick up some money. If you are serious about doing ROTC please contact me. I was in recruiting flight last semester so I can really help you out with questions. Anything that I cannot answer, I can forward to the cadre. As of right now the Air Force is really looking for engineers. If you can do well on the AFOQT you could qualify for a full ride, and a monthly lump sum of money to help pay for books and food. Last semester was my first in ROTC so I am non-contract but hopefully I can get a scholarship in a semester or two. I am not that competitive because I am Aviation Management. I am really trying to get competitive for a pilot slot. If you are seriously interested please email me at [email protected], Auburn is a great place to go to school and the Air Force detachment is one of the best in the nation. Have a nice day, and WAR EAGLE!

P.S. we have a decent football team too!!!!!!! screw the BCS!
