Default RE: Hangar 9 - Extra 260 - Electric Conversion

BoneDoc:

Thanks for the info.

I was happy that I did not have to by another Graphtech for this model due to prop clearance but I guess I still have to...
I was praising good hardware ( cf tail gear, cf main gear ) but I'll have to retract.

All machined screws are locktited. Hmmm I forgot the wheel collars.... Gotta do that too.

Yes the price goes up exponentially as size increases.

But at 90 size ( funtana 90), it is quite doable.

In my funtana,

Motor + ESC: $388
Kokam 9S2P 15c 2000mah cells: $420

Total $808 for 4-600 10min flights

If you do YS

YS110: $360
Fuel (10 flights/gal @$20/gal): $800

Total $1160 for 400 flights

It would be very expensive to buy these batteries but I am reusing what I already have for Funtana 90.
So, excluding the battery, motor+esc cost me $500 or cost of a cheap 50cc with muffler.

I am flying the heavier GP PW Extra 300 with a DA50 engine which cost me $650 with the slimline muffler.
