Heck the 370 brushed motor on the Eflite Ultimate will barely fly the plane.

I think you could use your motor, but you may want to get a 1200-1500mah li-po at some point to reduce the weight a bit. I use the TP 1320mah 3S1P li-po's on mine and at 14.4oz it flies great. I also use the HiMax 2812-0650 outrunner though, yours should have a good bit more power and I have enough to hover.
