I live in Michigan and its always windy. If your fairly confident go for it. I fly them all the time when the gas fliers are chicken. Just take your time and get use to it and keep it high at first and be ready with right trim. I'm running about an inch between the left and right aileron. It doesn't seem to affect any flight manuevours.
