I have both, the G3 and AFPD. I use the Aerofly to practice 3D because it is easier. Then see if I can do the same thing on the G3 because it is more realistic. If I had to give one up it would be the G3 if we are taking about 3D only.
If you download some physic models from rick deltens website they are much easier to 3D, but a little less realistic, if you setup a plane just right then it would fly alot like AFP, but of course it wont be the same.
