RE: 3D simulators?
It is also recommended that you turn on wind and turbulence in AFPD to better simulate an actual flying experience otherwise flight is glassy smooth. I don't have G3. I really like the physics in AFPD, but their plane editor sucks. And the www user "library" of planes is 99% reskins and mass/cg tweaks. Rather unimpressive.
In the simulator forums almost everyone who has tried both says 3d is better simulated in AFPD for everything from foamies to 33% scale planes. But since it is so hard to edit and tweak the planes to match what I actually own, I wish I had gone for G3.
