Sorry if I came across snotty, wasn't my intention. I ran the antenna on my 4*40 the same way as you Salty and works great. I wanted to try and keep the YAK as clean as possible. I was going to try a whip inside the fuse but just couldn't bring myself to cut the antenna and then find out it didn't work.

The pull-pull is straight down the sides, no crossing. I will be taking the YAK out today for radio check and engine tuning. Hope to get in the air this week.
