I have been using RCFS since the first Kallend PC version (1989) up to version 4. I upgraded to RCFS 2001 but did not have the hardware to run it successfully. I put it to one side for some time.

I upgraded and am now considering what to do next. P4 3.4Ghz 1 GB Ram, Radeon X300 SE 128 MB & Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit.

Unwittingly I had bought a sound card without a game port. It is going to take a bit of messing around to setup to run RCFS 2001, USB game port adaptors etc. Is it worth it? Alternatively I could set up an FMS interface and run that.

Which is “better”, FMS or RCFS 2001? I mainly want to use it for pattern training.
