Default RE: Four ?'s comparing set-ps

A stepped hull has less drag and is faster when using a medium power motor, with brushless power the difference fades, as the hull only rides on the last few inches of the hull. Stepped hulls can be a handfull, setting them up for good cornering.

Regards, Jan.

True. Stepped hulls are also unstable when a cross wind of 8-10 MPH hits them. I've flipped my Kyosho Airsteak 500 a couple of times this way. Fortunately, I've managed to bring it back to shore once .... "up-side-down" using the prop to push the boat back to shore.
