it just burned up the gear.. I did the same thing with mine.. the engine has alot more torque and it stripps the gear away.. the reason it only took out 10 to 15 teeth is because the clutch bell melted/stripped the gear there and slipped after that... You have to be critical of mesh with this engine or you will be spending alot on gears...
