The windows in the "afloat" pictures are outlined in black with a 5mm permanent marker. I don't think the outlining idea is working for me. I made the pilothouse assembly removable for reasons such as this and to replace the light bulb should it ever blow. I plan on trying to locate some "smoked acetate" or something similar to replace all the windows. These scale models are never truly finished but instead a continual work in progress.

Pete, I used Microscope lens cover glass for the windows in my Mister Darby. You have to be carefull installing them as they are fairly fragile but they look like (well they are) Real Glass. You can buy them on ebay sometimes and they are pretty cheap.
