Its possible that it could be battery related, but it still sounds ALOT like a radio glitch or interference.

Try flying it somewhere else, and see if you get the same thing. If it stops, then you know there is something causeing interference where your flying. Stop by your local hobby shop and change the crystals in the radio and reciever out for a different channel.
