RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
Kevin,
you are right, I have flaperon mixed on my one flight mode. Its nothing fancy, ailerons come down like flaps when given up elevator, and vice versa for down elevator. travel is about half of overall aileron travel in either direction. I need to play with programming on my other flight modes, I have two without flaperons, but they have lower traveling elevator. I started out with these on the plane when I first started flying it, and its not enuf throw now, so I always fly on the one that has more throw, which is the one with flaperons. Simple fix, just I always forget to program stuff at the field, and at home. You would think I would be able to remember this, but most nights I am happy just to get the time to go fly. It tightens up loops, and walls, anything that needs sharp corners. You can use spoilerons, this is prolly better for harriers, but I hate throwing switches during flight, and I fly other planes with flaperon all the time with no ill effects. Basically what I am trying to say, flaperon works better overall for flying and banging around than spoileron. If you dont mind throwing switches, spoils will work better for ya on harriers, but its not so happy with other stuff, or, compared to flaperons. I found in the early flights with this Vision that it flap spun better with flaperons than without. I dunno if it will work for everyone or it was just my plane, but it did make it better, its still no upright flat spin devil. Blenders are very good tho.
when you get banging on it, try it out, you may like it.
