I can not believe there is so much sniveling over $9. I partisapate in AMA RC flying becaues its fun. And a whole lot less expencive than anything else I have done to entertain myself in this short lifetime. This hobby is cheap, I am suprized the AMA insurance is so low percentage wize, seeing how so many model airplane companys are falling all over themselves trying to make those $1000+ airplanes due to high demand.
One of the guys in my club has jets and giant scale airplanes worth over $30,000. And yet his dues to be in AMA is the same as mine. I'd say someone at AMA is doing the right things!
