Thanks for the advice guys, I took the carb apart and found just the tiniest amount of crude on that small mesh filter and also on the diaphram. Spark plug had just a little grime on it. A possibility of the problem also may be that I was using fuel that had been sitting in the container all winter. It was half full [ or half empty ] so I'm wondering if there was condensation in it. Of course it ws going to get sucked-up as I filled the plane tank. Will test start it tonight. I also saw that the fuel filter was ahead of the fueling dot and that of course would stop any crude from going into the tank but would send it right into the carb upon starting. So, I put another filter just before fuel goes into the carb. Lets see what happens now. Seeya, MM
