use the soapy water. it cuts down on fingerpritns too. use a credit card to applyt he decal. it squeezes the bubbles out well. If you still ahev some bubbles, use a sewing needle to punter them and then run the credit card over it again to smooth it. then do a light coat of paint to help seal the edges and the tiny punctures. let it dry, then do another light coat. go fromt here. decals take a little more time, but still less than a 4 color paint job.
