Default RE: Complete 3D Electric Performance Package

splais,

I will second what exeter_acres said. My setup is almost identical to his, my situation was almost identical to yours, and I simply trusted myself to the tender mercies of Darrol Cady at www.darrolcady.com ... I've raced with him for years and I know that he's been on the cutting edge of mini-electrics as well. Drop him an e-mail and tell him Duane sent ya.

You will need a charger for the Li-Po batteries. The Triton works for me. You will have to get connectors for the batteries and the charger, and you'll also need to know how to solder them on. (I think that will be true of any package that you get, and if you don't have soldering equipment & skills, now would be a good time to acquire them.) FWIW, I chose the Deans Ultra Plugs because they're idiot-proof, notwithstanding my ingenuity.

In this size range, you won't need a special mini receiver, that is if you've already got something fairly small. The Hitec 555 works well, especially if you remove the case to save weight. Ditto for the JR R700, which is what I use -- case included.
